My work  MUP – MAPPE URBANE PERSONALI, is a long-term digital art-project about a new carthography of emotions, started in 2005 in the New York Meatpacking District. Very soon it became a  visual-project-format featured and exhibited all around the world. At the end of 2010 I launched the MUP Press, an indie press, and I published the three “limited edition” volumes of Urban Colors Collections-MUP Project on New York, Tokyo and London.

Living in Rome and having traveled as a freelance journalist to various spots in Europe, the US, Central and South America, Asia and Africa, I’ve had the great advantage of experiencing many places, people and cultures. I like working inside-the-scenes to create images that stimulate our senses and thoughts, and capture the fleeting moment. Spaces here are timeless.  Focusing on the key to reading the formal and substantive language of these cities, I always search for aesthetic harmony inside and outside of the urban landscape…

MUP has been featured in numerous publications, including newspapers, TV magazines, radio and in two photo-catalogs. The project has also been exhibited at the International Photo Festival of Corigliano C. 2008, and later travelled to the Emilio Greco Museum in Sabaudia (2009); on Juin and July 2010, part of this work has been exhibited in Rome, in ViaGiulia95 Art Gallery-Studio1, in London, then several times in New York, and recently in Brazil (read all in NEWS section).

Rome by bus through iPhone: from this different point of view the movement adds and reveals unusual details, different lights and colors, contribuiting to re-invent and celebrate a very idiosyncratic map of the Eternal City — far beyond the well known, traditional postcard views. So, for some months I shot the city and documented daily life with an iPhone — taking the bus number 87, day after day like the other commuters, or another bus number 70, as Romans and tourists do.

I exhibit this iPhone photo project, first in NEW YORK CITY (“Perspectives on Time” Exhibition – March 1 – March 31, 2011, The Callahan Gallery at St. Francis College, New York), then in two exhibition in Brazil: “Strati velati” (Florianopolis, Círcolo Ítalo-Brasileiro de cultura Italiana, and Brusque, Circulo italiano de cultura, October-Nov 2011)

Featured by fLIP (London Indipendent Photography) here online and again here, then by E’Lifestyle, among others, this project reveals wholly new perspectives on Roman history and archaeology, and try to give a chance to all commuters, daily travelers and tourists to look at the eternal city with a different awareness.

A limited edition visual city guide about NEW YORK. In these “Urban Colors Collection”/MUP, unique perspectives and different colors of urbanscape are always cohesive factors. This is a kind of personal cartography of emotions: as a visual storyteller I created and published these series of CITYBOOKS to explore the mostly ignored beauty of the cities I like, the urban challenges and the continuous creative updating…

I’m very proud to announce the publishing of the first three Photo Books of my Urban Colors Collection project, focused on Tokyo, New York and London. So, thank you in advance for your support….

Project” Series (featured and exhibited around the world from 2008). This photo book is focused on a woman’s vision and represents my personal cartography of emotions…

iPhoneography has become a part of my life because it suits my personality: it’s a kind of mobile visual storytelling, I think it’s another way of approaching, I have my visual board, my articles, my photos, my carnet de voyages and now my mobile art ….
